Samareign© is a Native of Africa, she traces her lineage to two noble dynasties Al Halwein from Northern Sudan, and Issaq from Northern Somalia (Somaliland). Her ancestors originated from the Arabian Peninsula. Born in a Muslim family, she is a practicing Muslim, who is devoted to the teaching of Islam, by Prophet Muhammad, Peace Be Upon Him. Even though, she speaks and writes English fluently, she also speaks, and writes Arabic, her native language proficiently. She thinks language is the ultimate form of art, to communicate, empower, and create transformation.
She is a bona fide multi-disciplinary artist, certified by the City of Boston, millennial leader, thinker, visionary, and curator with expertise in design, planning, and development. She is in her own lane, vantage point, and incomparable to any living artist in the modern age. She is a meticulous individual, with an extraordinary ability to master anything she touches. Her attention to details is immaculate, and borderline obsessive. Art, to her, is not something that she chooses to do, rather it chose her. Samareign© captivates the imagination and captures the minds through her artistic masterpieces. A glimpse of her ingenuity is illustrated through her iconic projects, Samareign Graffiti Fashion Show©, and Samareign Barbie Project©. Additionally, when she launched her Boutik©, 33Fusion®, she curated it as a comprehensive art show; as if she were leading an orchestra playing the melody of the universe; cultivating flawlessly the garden commanded by the creator; constructing like a bird making a nest, or a bee building a hive. Samareign© has Africa imprinted in her memory, and freedom carved in her soul. The journey of her life is as fascinating as her art, a story linked to billions, separated only by her fingerprints.
Samareign© continues to walk the path, perfecting her art and craft, studying different art forms that earned her the status of expert. She is among the few Immigrants who have achieved remarkable success in the U.S. She is one of the most prominent artists and leaders in Boston, with a global influence, creating many original concepts and trends, transforming art, and reshaping the minds of people. She is certain that her liberation as an individual and artist is tied to the liberation of Africans, Muslims, and other oppressed non-whites around the globe. A major factor that shaped her unique sense of art and personality is her exposure to cross-cultural dynamics, the result of travel, with her family, to different parts of Africa. She experienced the devastation of war, destruction, grief, displacement, and anguish caused by the European and Western elites, who unleashed an unprecedented continuous level of violence against Africans throughout the continent, and Muslim Countries. Subsequently, Samareign©, siblings, and parent were able to resettle to Boston, Massachusetts, United States (U.S.), leaving behind wealth, riches, and resources that the colonists have expropriated.
The story of immigrants has been told endless times but not in the context that Samareign© is explaining it. She maintains, “the wolf in democracy clothing” is the architect of the greatest mass colonization of the modern age that seeks to destroy the very essence of life, culture, ruining Islamic, and ancient civilizations, essentially erasing the non-white populations. The truth of her brilliance is as hard as the reality she exists within its realm, a large designed social prison, restricting her every move. Unveiling the ugly truth and decoding the World in its western understanding as the “White organization of the ruling liberal democracy”. The heavy burden of oppression, and mass incarceration are the bitter reality artists paint, where collaborators participate, and the rest of the society disappears in its shadow and darkness. Samareign©, like many other immigrants, was told the tales of freedom, a better life, and possibility of achieving the American dream. Not realizing that the cost of dream is set at the pinnacle of all heights, requiring the dreamer to strip the very essence of his/her humanity, belief, and integrity, essentially worshiping a false god. The designed matrix, the game of battling, and racing for fame and fortune by any means necessary and stepping over countless bodies make most people prisoners of the World. It follows, she woke up to an American nightmare, in a country that she, as well as most immigrants knew nothing about, such as its culture, history, and land, where the human remains of the native folk buried under the highways, railroads, and towers cry for justice.

Adapting to the U.S. meant she had to deal with a different side of imperialism, which is molded in brutal systemic racism, incarceration, and extrajudicial killing of Native Americans, Blacks, Muslims, and Arabs. It is a system of White supremacy and Zionism designed to prevent these individuals access to social, political, and economic advancement imaginable, which is reserved for settlers only. Samareign© had to navigate this system, relying solely on Allah the Creator, and her insight, intellect, and intuition, to retrieve the blueprints of her existence, and use art, as a mechanism to cope with daily adversities that she continued to face. With her warrior mindset and resilience, she was able to strategically maneuver through the barriers, pushing with her hands its weight against time. Based on this comprehension, she developed compassion, and assisted those who are suffering from Racism, poverty, and despair, using art and Islam as two key components.
Despite being told, you will not be able to go to a four-year college, by her high school counselor and advisor, Samareign© was among the honor roll students, she completed MCAS English and mathematics tutorial program. She was destined to compete, succeed, and join a select group of high school students from around the country, who would go on to attend a four-year college. This experience deepened her understanding of being an Immigrant in the U.S., the marginalization, and mistreatment at the hands of the Zionists who exert considerable influence throughout the education system, and the society at large. It was an endless struggle against discrimination, exclusion, and stigmatization by teachers, professors, and staffs. Undeterred, she pursued her education, and art projects, worked two jobs, one full-time and one part-time, to support herself and address the challenges that were beyond her control. Notwithstanding the odds, Samareign© earned a Bachelor of Arts in, Sociology, African, and Afro-American Studies at Brandeis University. She also completed a series of certificates as follows: Peace Conflict and Co-Existence Studies, Arabic Medical Interpreting, and Project Management.
In 2012, Samareign© co-founded Gallery Basquiat, which later became Z Gallery, with her mentor Doumafis, Playwright, Photographer, Proprietor of Abarigani, and Creator of the hexagonal canvas ITA, came up with the concept of Development + Art, featured in the Fieldbook of the Boston Society of Landscape Architect). It must be noted Z Gallery was a multipurpose space to showcase various art forms, in support of local artists who see themselves as a business. Moreover, she co-led, in collaboration with her mentor, the planning team who designed Oasis@Bartlett, a public plaza, at Bartlett Station a mixed-used housing development in Roxbury, MA. They are the first to recommend the active involvement of local artistes in neighborhood development. Their recommendation brought innovation in economic development, by incorporating a public plaza in a mixed-use housing project, which went beyond the existing model of architecture, with its beam and glass structure of high-rise buildings that, once built, remain empty, without any meaningful activity, and/or presence of the local artists. Moreover, they advocated for artists housing, based on the idea of live, work, and retail. They remain confident this innovative landscape will produce prosperity for all and bring higher value to the city’s neighborhoods.
The Project constitutes a digital archive of the most iconic Graffiti, such as Roxbury Love, by Richard "Deme5" Gomez and Thomas "Kwest" Burns, 2014; and Honor Roll, by Jameel Parker, 1999, which have been permanently destroyed. Samareign Graffiti Fashion Show© is the source of inspiration and idea that led the city of Boston to launch its own digital archive of Graffiti, calling it (Boston Mural Map). This is a concrete example of cultural appropriation by officials of the Department of Arts and Culture in the City of Boston. Samareign Graffiti Fashion Show© gained international recognition by receiving the 2022 International Guangzhou Award, for Urban Innovation, a Chinese-based organization. During the fashion shows in real maven and iconic style, Samareign© started wearing a hat over her hijab, to show Muslim girls and women wearing the hijab is fashionable, stylish, and fun. Hat over hijab quickly went viral among hijab wearing Youtubers, and social media influencers. Her main interest is to change the perception of people on non-mainstream arts and cultures that people portray every day of their lives. The project continues to inspire millions of people, which makes it a timeless trend that the generations to come will enjoy. Samareign© is a leader of leaders within the artists community. In Samareign Graffiti Fashion Show© photos, she can be seen holding her scepter, a symbol of African royalty, aristocracy, and political resistance.
In 2018, Samareign©, in collaboration with Doumafis, launched Samareign Graffiti Fashion Shows© an innovative display of Fashion, Graffiti, and Photography conceived to preserve the Graffiti fine arts (Street Arts) in a digital format because public arts created on walls are often destroyed by developers interested only in building for profit condominiums. According to the National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC), Boston is the third most gentrified city in the U.S. Thus, Samareign© and Doumafis were determined to solve the risk that local artists take when creating Graffiti, one of the five elements of Hip-Hop culture, which has achieved global significance. Samareign Graffiti Fashion Shows© is a series of public art shows that highlight the role of local visual artists in the beautification of disenfranchised neighborhoods, prevention of gentrification, and advocacy to pay local visual artists for the Street Arts they make. The Samareign Graffiti Fashion Shows© encompasses a teaching methodology of Doumafis based on Learning, Interactive, Fun, and Experiential (LIFE) model that has made it possible for several residents to get involved in economic and/or neighborhood development. Moreover, the Samareign Graffiti Fashion Shows© resulted in the visualization of geographic data, a mapping system that includes the body of knowledge of relevant concepts and methods, institutional organizations, visual artists, and their Street Arts in neighborhoods, such as Allston-Brighton, Dorchester, Jamaica Plain, Lynn, Mattapan, Roxbury, and Somerville.
In October 2019, Samareign© founded 33Fusion®, LLC, a Certified Woman and Minority Enterprise (WMBE), a retail store that she designed to show innovation. A vision that emanated from her childhood experience, she made it her life’s mission to style Africans, Muslims, and other people of faith with a variety of African fashion and modest wear. Driven by this passion, she was able to launch 33Fusion®, LLC, at the CambrideSide Place, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She achieved a monumental breakthrough and disrupted the retail industry by merging Fashion and Fine Arts. 33Fusion®, LLC’s business model is based on an innovative retail store, which is part boutique, part gallery, and part placemaking that offers visual and performing artists a space to showcase their talents. While Fashion is the core commodity, Fine Arts is a mission-based initiative conceived to reinforce successful local artists who see themselves as a business.

On April 19, 2021, Samareign© wrote an extensive email to address her concerns to the attention of director of Arts and Culture at the City of Boston. She argued that Doumafis and her should be given credit for being the first to initiate the systematic digital mapping of Graffiti, street arts, in neighborhoods within the Metropolitan Boston Area. She requested inclusion, participation, and recognition as concrete steps to gain an award, grants, and intellectual property rights over the concept of murals mapping. She offered the city the opportunity to undoing the racism inherent in their decision to exclude Doumafis and her. In her message, she emphasized that their inclusion in this project will illustrate the efforts that the City of Boston is willing to take in undoing the racism that local artists endure, while they are actively beautifying the neighborhoods, with rents that only the gents can afford. The director replied in an expected fashion deciding to move forward with the project excluding the two artists and enforcing the protracted cyclical pattern. A year later the Boston Mural Map website was up and running, and city did not even have a mention of the two artists and their critical role in the City’s project. Even though artists like Samareign© and Doumafis ascended from Boston and became among the most influential artists, nationally they are considered underground. This is mainly due to the extreme systemic racism carried out in various forms against blacks and Muslims in the U.S. Opportunities of progression for such artists are strategically eliminated, by those who are in key positions. Cultural appropriation then leaps to take the forefront, and the valuable works of those artists is diminished by institutions, companies and individuals with capital power and racial/religious agendas. Both artists seek true liberation, away from the oppressive system that, per the U.S. Constitution, classifies Black Folk as three-fifth of a human being and consider Muslims terrorists.

In 2023, Samareign© sparked a global trend, with her Samareign Barbie Project©, an initiative she started decades ago, with elements that were always present in her art. However, some of these elements were previously showcased to the public at Z Gallery. Samareign© transforms the Barbie into magical creatures, mini human displays, models of her extravagant Vinteek©, i.e., vintage, and antique, jewelry, spectacles, and handmade fashion. Samareign© states, “It is about creating something most people don’t have the imagination or the creativity to create. It is all about the vision given by almighty Allah, few possess, and many try to acquire”. In an unpredictable and shocking manner, she continuously creates unexpected topics and themes driven from the larger concept Samareign Barbie Project©. To address important social, political, and various issues concerning the public. A significant number of visitors admitted, they admire Samareign©’s artistic vision and took thousands of photos and videos of the displays.
In July 2023, the Barbie movie suddenly premiered in movie theaters in the U.S. and around the globe. The Barbie frenzy caught on like a wildfire a momentary infectious trend to most. However, to Samareign©, it is a childhood obsession, her continuous artistic project for years, and a vision that sealed her faith to become an artist. Interestingly, in the west people often talk about the “what” and ignore the “who”. People followed the trend and overlooked the achievements of artists like Samareign© who is a key figure behind this Barbie revival, and hence disappear her accomplishments under the umbrella of systemic racism that is woven in the fabric of the society in the North America.
Even though, most public figures embrace Samareign©’s business model and artistic vision, the nationwide media war on Islam, so called war on terror, anti-Muslim agenda, and widespread propaganda against Islam and Muslims influenced a few individuals to continuously attack Samareign© at her business for her religious beliefs and national origin. They made her feel like she was on trial. For example, they insisted to know where she is from. They asked her questions about her personal life. They demanded private information about her business and confidential details of her artworks. Anytime, she refused to provide such sensitive information, they became hostile toward her. Moreover, in many instances, she was exposed to disingenuous efforts intended to force her to embrace sexual orientation agenda and even fame and fortune were offered. Samareign© refused to be influenced and remained true to her Muslim community and faith. Hence, she was marginalized, denied opportunities, and all her efforts to raise capital and apply for loans to fund her art projects and business were rejected. The pressure was relentless and conformity to this new norm and advanced systemic autocracy imposed on her and all the members of the society and like-minded people was required. Considering this, she was faced with two choices, either give up, and mold to the new norm, or close her business, she acquired after a long battle and make Hijrah or migrate to a Muslim land.
The Almighty Allah state, in the holy Quran, “Whoever emigrates in the cause of Allah will find many safe havens and bountiful resources throughout the earth. Those who leave their homes and die while emigrating to Allah and His Messenger—their reward has already been secured with Allah. Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful” (Chapter An-Nisa, Verse 100). Thus, Samareign© is confident as a Muslim believer that all the treasures on the Earth is not equivalent to making Jihad (striving, or doing one’s supreme, and the struggle against the lower self) for the sake of Allah, which is the greatest accomplishment in the short span of life Allah decreed for His creation. The Hijrah or migration for the sake of Allah is mentioned in many verses of the holy Quran. “As for those who emigrated after being compelled ˹to renounce Islam˺, then struggled ˹in Allah’s cause˺, and persevered, your Lord ˹O Prophet˺ is truly All-Forgiving, Most Merciful after all” (Chapter An-Nahl, Verse 110). “Those who believed, emigrated, and strived with their wealth and lives in the cause of Allah, as well as those who gave them shelter and help—they are truly guardians of one another. As for those who believed but did not emigrate, you have no obligations to them until they emigrate. But if they seek your help ˹against persecution˺ in faith, it is your obligation to help them, except against people bound with you in a treaty. Allah is All-Seeing of what you do” (Chapter Al-Anfal, Verse 72).
A voice of truth resonated in Samareign’s depth echoing, words of wisdom, of all the people who chased life’s pleasures, and it abandoned them and the few who left it, and it came to them kneeling. All praise be to Allah, forsaking all the wealth, family, and that which is near and dear is a small price to pay to get a chance in the hereafter to gaze at the creator’s face, when the creation assembles to answer for its actions. After Samareign© read the verses of Hijrah and migration for the sake of Allah it landed in her soul as a revelation. She realized that leaving the polluted environment many are hoping to attain is the duty of every Muslim and that insight is a mercy from Allah. “O My believing servants! My earth is truly spacious, so worship Me ˹alone˺. Every soul will taste death, then to Us you will ˹all˺ be returned” (Chapter Al-Ankabut, Verses 56-57).
In August 2023, after the constant harassment, microaggression, and subtle threat, Samareign© decided to leave the U.S. and make Hijrah to a Muslim country. Afterwards, more precisely on October 7, 2023, the Israeli military viciously attacked Palestine, killing over forty thousand, and injuring seventy thousand Palestinians, and the battel continues. This illegal genocidal war on the Palestinians supported with U.S. tax dollars hastened her travel out of the U.S., and effectively showed her unwavering support to the Muslim Ummah, which has faced repeated western military aggression. Samareign© made a colossal shift to close her business, leaving everything behind, including family, friends, and colleagues to go to Egypt, where she can attain real success. Making Hijrah to Egypt is her affirmation of the Quran and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad, Peace Be Upon Him.

33Fusion®, LLC is a relaxing space, and cultural center, showcasing superbly curated fine arts, vinteek© (i.e., vintage, and antique) jewelry, handmade clothes, crafts, accessories, and other limited-edition collectibles, displaying elements of her collective projects to create a cascade of public art themes. While the Somali incense and Arabic Oud oils fill the air, visitors find themselves transported to a timeless nostalgic place they never experienced before. Thus, the brand focuses on artisan eco-friendly merchandises produced by local and international artists, creating an advanced solution to eliminate carbon footprint. 33Fusion®, LLC, features African culture combined with elements of Islamic influence, including the Quran, prayer rugs, miswak, modest apparel, fine arts, and holistic natural products sourced from local Muslim and black owned businesses. Additionally, 33Fusion®, LLC provides a space for live performance, developing talents, creating educational programs, workshops, and year-round exhibits. It’s comprehensive business model took over two decades to perfect and visual art is a major component of it. Educating the public on the importance of owning collectable such as, vintage, antiques, and fine arts, are key points to bridge the wealth gap, build equity, and diversity investment portfolio. Supporting 33Fusion® is key to see a better planet and future for us all. Often called, the museum, 33Fusion®, LLC exceeded customer satisfaction by its excellent service, safety, and reliability.
A voice of truth resonated in Samareign’s depth echoing, words of wisdom, of all the people who chased life’s pleasures and it abandoned them and the few who left it, and it came to them kneeling.
